On the northern edge of the fish market in Erfurt you will find the "Haus zum Breiten Herd", one of the most important Renaissance houses in Erfurt. In 1882, the façade was renewed and lush neo-Renaissance details added. Both façade styles unite at the "Haus zum Breiten Herd" to a successful symbiosis, which is one of the most beautiful of its kind in Germany.
