            The landlord of the country hotel Meißnerhof initially had poppies grown on an area of 1.5 hectares; today the area under cultivation is more than ten times that. The poppy grown is opium poppy, which is low in morphine, but whose cultivation is only permitted with the approval of the Federal Opium Agency.
