From the remains of the medieval castle complex of Bensberg, this (technical) town hall of the city of Bensberg was built between 1962 and 1972 - different dates are in circulation, but that's actually not that important - according to plans by the famous Cologne architect Gottfried Böhm. The sculptural Brutalist complex, which is now under Demlan protection, not only has friends, but when the sun is shining the effect of the freshly renovated concrete building is anything but brutal.
