Bretten-Ruit (kn) The idea for the crab fountain in Ruit arose in the lead-up to the 750th anniversary celebration of the Bretten district. At a neighborhood meeting, residents brainstormed possible activities to commemorate the anniversary, and before they knew it, the idea of building a village fountain was born. The necessary location was also quickly found: the new structure would stand in the village center, near the bus turnaround next to the town hall.
