    Diez runs along the slopes of the Lahn Valley on both sides. The Graf Castle Diez towers steeply above the Lahn Valley and is now a youth hostel. The baroque palace Oranienstein is somewhat hidden in the upper town on the Bundeswehr site. The "Nassau Oranien" museum on the Bundeswehr site offers regular tours.

                                You don't need to make a detour for Diez, because the place is on the way. The only nice thing is the church and the bridge over the Lahn and maybe the possibility to rent pedal boats if you are not yet fully occupied with cycling.
