The inlet structure of the Nagold Dam was built in 1970. In 2002, extensive concrete repairs were carried out using a concrete replacement system, but these were found to be defective, so another extensive concrete repair was carried out in 2020/2021.
After removing the concrete replacement system from 2002 and the upper concrete layers, the reinforcement was supplemented with concrete reprofiling, and the concrete surfaces were recoated. As part of the renovation work, the Karlsruhe Regional Council also installed new information panels on the construction of the Nagold Dam.
