The Tiziana Weiss path is a 2.5 km long route between the towns of Santa Croce and Aurisina. An evocative and very panoramic stretch, from which to enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf of Trieste (from the coasts of Slovenia, to the castle of Miramare to the Lagoon of Grado). It is also called the "Path of sage" due to the large presence of this aromatic plant. It is dedicated to the famous Trieste mountaineer Tiziana Weiss, who died in 1978 following an accident in the Pale di San Martino. It runs parallel to the coastal road, without significant gradients, skirting the karst edge. The only path that crosses uphill leads to the Liburnia lookout, a tower that was built in the 1800s with the aim of maintaining the right pressure for the aqueduct.
Coming from Santa Croce, the path branches off to the right 200 m after passing via del Pucino. From Aurisina instead, the departure can be fixed near the Slovenian middle school Igo Gruden, where there are more parking possibilities. This is also the starting point for the steep Sentiero dei Pescatori which leads to the beach of Canovella degli Zoppoli.
