On December 18, 1962, the city of Antwerp becomes the official owner. Nowadays, this classicist building from 1790 is suitable for all kinds of activities, such as seminars, shows, concerts, balls and receptions.

Hof van Plaisance with French front garden and English landscape garden dates from 1789 and has been owned by the City of Antwerp since 1962.

In Park Den Brandt you don't need much imagination to imagine yourself in the TV series Downtown Abbey. You enter through a stately entrance through a sleek French garden. The path leads you to the castle whose origins date back to 1790. Behind the castle is a park in English landscape style. Here music lovers enjoy Jazz Middelheim every year.

The domain of Park Den Brandt has even more to offer. Stroll along the lanes and paths under the sometimes impressive trees. Look for the cute English thatched cottage. Or look for the reproduction of Michelangelo's David statue, better known in Antwerp as the naked David. Also worth a visit: the bunker museum, located in a former regional headquarters of the Atlantic Wall.

The castle is privately owned. The park is nice to walk and stay. You will also find several old bunkers from the World War.
