On the more than 300 year old mountain farm and the attached nature trail you can learn all about life in the Fichtelgebirge in former times. From time to time there are festivals and markets, and guided tours are possible after registration. In Grassemann there is also a tavern, so you can strengthen yourself here as well.

The Grassemann Open-Air Museum is an information center for the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park and showcases life on a small, low-mountain farm, whose residents were self-sufficient and also worked in mining, forestry, or as hand weavers. On display are historic structures such as the timber-framed building, the "Black Kitchen," and the breech-loading tiled stove. In addition, an educational trail illustrates the changing nature of forest use and the cultural landscape. The museum complements its offerings with changing special exhibitions, festivals, and markets.
