Currently (August 2024) the bridge is closed due to dilapidation. A bypass through very impassable terrain is possible (see photos in the highlight).

Here the Neanderlandsteig narrows enormously, the narrow bridge is overgrown with evergreen and marks half of the way through the Langenhorster forest for me.
