The Roman sour spring is located exactly at this spot; the water is drinkable. It is located exactly on the Moselsteig and the Moselhöhenweg and is not signposted.

Since it hasn't rained here since April, you can't "tread water" there at the moment. Nevertheless, a very nice route through the vineyards and through the forest.
