Suresnes Castle (also called Werneckschlößl) was probably built from 1715 to 1718 by Johann Baptist Gunetzrhainer based on the model of the Château de Suresnes near Paris for the cabinet secretary Franz von Wilhelm. The palace has been owned by the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising since 1937.

Suresnes Palace was built in 1718 as a pleasure palace for the noble cabinet secretary, Elector von Wilhelm, and is located in Schwabing. Today, it is used as a conference center by the Catholic Academy of Bavaria and is not open to the public. However, you can view it from the outside on a trip through Schwabing on your way to the English Garden and take a look at the beautiful French-style gardens.
