St. Pölten, the provincial capital of Lower Austria with 55,000 inhabitants, is hardly mentioned among top Austrian destinations. It certainly cannot be compared with Salzburg, Graz or even Vienna, but it doesn’t have to hide from the remaining five provincial capitals. The city has a lot of tourist attractions to offer and a flying visit is definitely worth it.
