The ancient Porta Superiore di Serravalle, also known as Porta San Giovanni or "Porta della Muda", played a crucial role in the local economy, managing trade duties between the Serenissima and the Alpine areas. Incorporated into Casa Fighera, it bears signs of the Battle of Vittorio Veneto in 1918.

The ancient Upper Gate of Serravalle (or Porta San Giovanni), which closed the original village to the north. This was also called "Porta della Muda" because customs and duty collection operations took place there, a fundamental element of the local economy. In fact, Serravalle, due to its particular geographical position, was an important meeting point between merchandise from the Serenissima and those from Cadore and from the Alpine and transalpine countries, which necessarily had to pass through here, and therefore a lively place for commercial exchanges. The door was then incorporated into the Casa Fighera, on whose southern façade the marks of the bullets fired during the last battles of the Battle of Vittorio Veneto (27-30 October 1918) are still visible.
