Castle lake Slotssøen in Kolding

The castle lake in Kolding was created in 1570 and was owned by the monarch for many years. Therefore, no one was allowed to fish in the lake or sail on the lake. However, there was a small rowing boat on the lake in case a royal guest should wish to take a boat trip.
Around the castle lake is the popular Kærlighedsstien, which invites you to take a nice walk. A free concert is held here during the summer and there are various activities on the lake during the Kolding Culture Night these years.
The Kolding Light Festival ends every year with a big fireworks display at the lake.
