The manor house is situated in a six-hectare park with changing perspectives
between old trees, wild growth, and manicured nature.
Not everything is perfect here – just the atmosphere!
The house and park are listed buildings and part of Schleswig-Holstein's history.
More than 200 years have left their mark.
The manor house, built of brick around 1780 on Niendorf's village square, has a portico with Doric columns at the rear. From 1939 until his death in 1973, it was the home of the writer Walther von Hollander.

Journalists have shaped the house's recent history:
After the Second World War, the Briton Hugh Carleton Greene,
Axel Eggebrecht, and Peter von Zahn discussed the beginnings of public broadcasting and the future press landscape in Germany here.
Axel Springer reflected on founding his publishing house here with Walther von Hollander.

The manor is also a crime scene – for film productions and photo shoots.

The ARD crime drama "Borowski and the House of Ghosts" was filmed here.
