The Fischland Church, built in 1873, has features of the neo-Gothic style. Three naves can be seen in the church, the "Deo Gloria" above the north gallery, the "Hope" in the nave and the "Christiana" on the south gallery. The altarpiece shows the biblical story of the rescue of the sinking Peter. The picture “Nativity Play” by Hedwig Woermann has been on permanent loan in the north gallery since 1997.

Anyone who lingers on Fischland Darß / Zingst should be advised to visit the Fischland church in the Baltic resort of Wustrow. The 18 meter high tower of the building can be seen already far. If the church stands on a small hill and towers not only the place Wustrow, but also the whole environment. It is an experience to climb the steps of the tower and then enjoy a unique view over Wustrow and Fischland / Darß. In clear clear weather you can see west Ribnitz-Damgarten but also Rostock with its chimneys at the industrial port. Turning east, you look to Prewow (with the Darßer lighthouse), Zingst and a little further.

The Fischland church was consecrated on September 14, 1873. Between 1166 and 1190, the first wooden church was built on this site, and in 1385, the Ribnitz Clarissan monastery reportedly built a church on this site. This church was demolished in 1869 and the current church was built.

Long before Christianity came to Mecklenburg, this place was a holy place; the Wendish god Swantewit was worshipped and worshipped here. Legend has it that Swantewit's white horse raised the church hill with its hooves in one night. Excavations have shown that this hill was artificially raised on the flat island land. The hill served as a churchyard until 1830, after which a cemetery was built on the northern edge of the village.
