The Neptune Fountain was designed in 1753 by the Augsburg sculptor Johann Wolfgang Schindel. The baroque sculpture of the god of the sea holds her trident in her arms, her right hand rests on the coat of arms, her right foot on a dolphin. The masks on the fountain column spew water into the fountain basin with multiple jets. The Latin inscriptions on two sides speak of citizenship and contain the year 1753 and various names.
