The shipyard Hans Boost, Trier, Maschinen- und Stahlbau GmbH & Co. KG is a shipyard founded in 1920 and based in Trier.

Up until 1949, over 27 Moselle ferries, gravel and ferry boats, motor boats and dredgers were built at the small shipyard in the south of the city. Steel construction and locksmith work of all kinds were also carried out here. When the Moselle was about to be made navigable around 1950 and became more concrete with the Moselle Treaty of 1956, Hans Boost decided to build a new, more efficient shipyard at the current location in the north of the city. The Moselle Treaty was a post-war barter in which France returned Saarland to West Germany and Germany accepted Moselle canalization on its territory.
