This coastal path is part of the hiking trail from Mirador de Ses Barques (above Soller) to Cala Tuent. My tip: Take the boat from Port de Soller to Cala Tuent and from there walk via the Mirador de Ses Barques back to Soller or Port Soller.

On a fairly rustic trail, it goes far above the water along the steep coast. With sturdy shoes the path is not a problem and you can enjoy the phenomenal view to the fullest. If you're lucky, you'll meet some curious goats.

In the 19th century, the Camí de Sa Costera was a notorious smugglers' route. Alcohol, tobacco, and textiles from Algeria or Marseille were landed at night.

For a long time, smuggling was one of Mallorca's most important sources of income and supplies.

But smugglers weren't the only ones operating here. It's said that a certain Miquel sa Rabassa lured ships with false lights, causing them to run aground on the rocks—in order to plunder their cargo. However, there is no evidence for this.
