A large artificial lake in the Bois de Vincennes created during the Second Empire. Today a local recreation area for many Parisians. There's really something going on here, especially on the weekends!

Lake Daumesnil is an unmissable place in the Bois de Vincennes. A fairly large expanse of water where you can get some fresh air and admire the nature of the Ile-de-France region.
However, it is an artificial lake created during the Second Empire. But it offers a natural break just a few steps from the capital, to the delight of Parisians.
