A small idyll opposite the historic town hall in Bergamtsstraße. Here you can marvel at a memorial erected in October 1897 to commemorate Emperor Wilhelm I. It concerns a work of the stone mason and old master August Gehrke, who died on 16 June 1900 at the age of 61 years - from 1883 until his death local chiefs of Barsinghausen.

The town hall of the city of Barsinghausen is located in this listed half-timbered building from 1682 and used to be the residence and workhouse of the monastery administrator. Around 1885, the royal mining inspection moved here. About a hundred years later, the building served the community and since 1969 the town hall has been located here.
