In the first quarter of the 19th century, a sulphurous spring was discovered in today's Bavierpark. Due to their healing power, a spa, health and bathing establishment developed with this spa house as the center. The approximately 1830/40 built, late classicist building is harmoniously structured in 3 to 5 window axes. Darts designed entrance shows in the skylight arrows as a typical style feature. Around 1870 the spring dried up and the spa had to be stopped.

Built 1833 - Kurhaus (around 1842), home for factory workers at the de Weerth weaving mill (1900–1919), vocational school (1929–1942), NSDAP office (1942–1945), then police station, today rental offices on the upper floor and restaurants .

There is a nice restaurant in the Kurhaus, which was well occupied in this wonderful weather outside.
