The village of Consrade was first mentioned in 1260 as the German founding of the Holstein Reinfeld monastery. It remained in the possession of the clergy until the Reformation, then the Danish kings were the legal successors of the monastery before the Mecklenburg dukes took possession of Consrade in 1606. The exact construction date of the chapel or church is not known.
The church building was first mentioned in a church visitation protocol in 1534 as a daughter church of the Plater church. The half-timbered building with the three-sided end in the east suggests that it was built in the 16th century, the design and technical details also suggest that it was built in the 17th century.
The church was completely renovated in 1831 and 1968 and the interior was partially redesigned. It is closed on three sides in the east, inside an undivided, flat-roofed room without a tower.
Furnishings: altar made of red Meissen granite from 1968, pulpit from the 17th century, baptismal font from the 13th century, organ from 1900. Bell in the free-standing belfry from 1543.

The Consrad Church is located on the edge of the glacial valley of the Stör next to the former Meierhof (ducal court) in Consrade. Centuries-old oaks stand in the churchyard and in the neighboring estate.

The church is a half-timbered building made of oak, filled with bricks, which is closed on three sides in the east. The hipped roof is covered with beaver tails in crown coverage. There is no tower, but there is a wooden belfry to the west.

In a church visitation protocol from 1540, a daughter church of Plate in Consrade is mentioned for the first time. From the 13th to the mid-16th century, the village of Consrade belonged to the Cistercian monastery of Reinfeld in Holstein. The church or a previous building may have stood in Consrade as early as the time of the monastery.

The exact year of construction of a church is not known. The half-timbered building could have been built in the 16th century, but the design and technical details suggest that it was built in the 17th century.

In 1780, the then dilapidated church was to be demolished due to lack of funds, but this did not happen. In 1831 it was renovated for the first time. Fundamental renovation work only took place again in 1968 during Jürgen Hebert's pastorate. Windows, doors and the floor have been renewed. Half-timbered parts and the roof truss were replaced. The entire roof was re-covered.
