Hot day, lazy walk, almost entirely in the shade. Perfect for dogs and baby trekking. Plenty of nice stopping points to wet your feet in the stream or picnic.
Trail very even, only one point has steps but also a slope for wheels.
This can be circular in two ways, one returning on a country road then back to the trail, another coming down through central Carbonare.

Illustrative bulletin boards, located near points of interest, tell of the centuries-old activity that has seen the life of the stream intertwine with the vicissitudes of man.

We find the illustration of the Cógola archaeological site, which tells of the very ancient hunters of the Paleolithic who quenched their thirst and fished in the Astico; then the description of the mysterious Porta del Leon mill, also equipped with a workshop, of which the ruins remain, as well as the Erardo hydraulic sawmill and the "Calchèra", the furnace once used for the production of lime.

Finally, in Cùeli, the beautiful Mulino Cuel, with an adjoining bread oven. Here the stream tells its most beautiful story.

The mill can be seen. Visitors are welcomed by Leonarda and Lucia, who know all the secrets of the mill - which belongs to the family. And Lucia also teaches you how to knead bread!

An easy historical and cultural themed trail following the Astico River, dedicated to water and its centuries-old use by humans. Several information boards illustrate and explain the activities surrounding the remains of buildings of varying ages: an ancient farmhouse, a Venetian sawmill, and a furnace. You'll also cross stone bridges and encounter small waterfalls.

Nestled in the woods, cool and shaded in summer, the trail is not recommended in wet weather due to slippery terrain and the possibility of the river flooding. A family-friendly hike.
