The department store GUM (Russian Торговый Дом ГУМ, transcription Torgowy Dom GUM; abbreviated from Главный Универсальный Магазин, Glawny Uniwersalny Magasin, today a shopping center in the Russian department store and today the capital of the Russian department store in Moscow) is a former shopping center. With an area of around 75,000 m² and a history spanning more than 100 years, it is one of the most famous trading companies and, according to the old concept, was the largest department store in Europe.
