The Red Square is the central square of Moscow and borders in the southwest directly to the Kremlin. In Russian, the place is called "Krasnaya Ploshad", which used to mean "beautiful place". It was not until the 17th century that the name "Red Square" was mentioned for the first time. Red Square is 500 meters long and 150 meters wide.
