The Waldschänke Zwickau has developed in the almost 100 years of its existence to the most famous Zwickau Ausflugslokal and hosts its guests traditionally with a home-style German cuisine and seasonal and regional delicacies. German asparagus and German forest mushrooms complete the menu. Regional beers on tap, selected wines, specialty coffees, cakes and ice tempt guests into the nostalgic ambience of the 20s / 30s.
The regular cabaret evenings and the readings of well-known artists create a sense of humor in the restaurant and have developed into a permanent fixture in Zwickau's cultural landscape in the last 10 years. In summer, the romantic-dreamy beer garden invites you to linger. What's better about enjoying your coffee or beer in the fresh forest air?
The idyllic location of the Waldschänke, right on the city forest of Zwickau, near the Weißenborner ponds, allows relaxing walks in every season. Rare deciduous and coniferous trees make every hike an experience and if they are lucky they will meet one or the other deer.

This restaurant is located on Königswalder Straße. In summer, the beer garden offers a pleasant atmosphere with delicious food. The staff was always in a good mood during my visits.
