Rosary
The rosary of the Botanical Garden features more than 300 rose varieties from eight groups of roses:
floribundroses;
shrubs;
park roses;
string roses;
polyanthroses;
deciduous roses;
miniature roses;
tea hybrid roses.
The roses in our beds, which are suitable for our climatic conditions, are sorted by color and height.
Over thirty thousand rose varieties are known in the world and this number is growing every year, most of them are not found in Latvia, because our climate has proved unsuitable. The total number of the most popular rose varieties grown in Latvian gardens is approaching two thousand.
