For those who can walk well and are appropriately equipped, I recommend going on to the First - and thus the high-altitude hike, which takes around 6 1/2 hours, but is one of the nicest things I know in Switzerland. Only recommended in summer, only when the weather is good and for experienced (mountain) hikers. Not a walk. But unforgettable!

One of the most beautiful mountain hikes in this area is the panoramic hike from Schynige Platte to Faulhorn, Bachalpsee. A small detour and viewpoint offers the Oberberghorn. The path marked on the map no longer exists.

The view from up here is uniquely beautiful. Not only the Faulhorn does the honour, no, the Eiger Mönch and Jungfrau also say hello. The "Schreckhorn" with its distinctive fin is always present. Not in the picture here.
