          Take the extra few minutes to go to the top at Faulhorn and look over the other side. Sweeping views of the area on a clear day. You can see for what seems like a hundred kilometers. Brilliant beyond words.

              The Faulhorn viewpoint offers an overwhelming view of all the mountain giants in the Bernese Oberland.               The Berghotel Faulhorn (meaning: rotten rock), 2,681 m, is the oldest mountain hotel in Switzerland. From up here you can enjoy an overwhelming 360 ° panorama. The mountain hotel has survived almost unchanged since its construction in 1830. It was an admirable achievement at that time and still deserves our respect today.
