The first battle took place nearby when the Prussians, with allies and around 50,000 soldiers, moved against France and only met 7,500 French who fought for half a day. Mercenaries from Africa were also injured. Since nobody in the area felt responsible for a funeral, the corpses were buried here in a night-and-fog operation by the people responsible for the hospital. Long later, the community of Schaidt resisted moving the fallen and showing a little decency. After a long discussion, the community finally agreed to at least take care of the graves. According to Marianne, that was probably handed over to the PWV.

A magical and thought-provoking place. Of the two people from Africa known by name, one was allowed to be 20 years old, the other only 19 years old.
