I really like places to stop for a break *NEXT* to cycle routes, but this one really disrupts the flow along the otherwise very beautiful northern canal path. Who actually gives this establishment the right to spread out like this *ON* the cycle path? The barriers on both sides are really a pain, especially for cargo bikes, tandems, trikes, other special bikes and sidecars with trailers. And unfortunately the stupid things are still there even when the place is closed and there is no one there who needs to be protected from bikes driving through. A few years ago you could at least take the path between the beer garden and the campsite, but that is now closed and is no longer possible, probably in the hope that more people will stop here. Dear operators, please remember that there are also people who don't need a break right now, but just want to get on with things. But I really feel that the situation is coercive. On principle alone we will never stop here, except in extreme need, just before dying of thirst. Better to take the other, southern side of the canal!
