Franz Scheriau started a private initiative years ago in the lower area of the Danube bank - near the Buddhist pagoda - and built a ship museum. He is happy to show the old one from the k. u. k monarchy-born steamship Frederic Mistral and tells historical stories. He also offers small excursions on his ships; you can also take a ferry across to the Danube Island from him.

Really worth seeing what you can create with love. Otherwise the boats would certainly have been scrapped long ago – it would be a shame.
