The Dilldorfer Höhe housing estate was built in 1999 on the site of the Ruhrland barracks, which was closed in 1994. However, as one might expect from the name, it is not located in the Dilldorf district, but in the Kupferdreh district.

The Dilldorfer Höhe is a housing development in the Essen district Kupferdreh. It was built in 1999 on the site of 1994 closed Ruhrland barracks. However, the settlement is not, as the name suggests, in the district Dilldorf, but on the territory of the former Honnschaft Hinsbeck (Ruhr).

FORMER RUHRLAND BARRACKS
The Ruhrland barracks existed on a high plateau in Kupferdreh between 1938 and 1994. Subsequently, a residential area run by the municipal housing company Allbau, the Dilldorfer Höhe settlement, was built here.
