              Bizarre rock formations, caves and grottos, vantage points and a rock theater - the rock garden Sanspareil in Bavaria is an ideal destination for both parents and children of all ages. Due to the sheltered location in the forest, the rock garden in Franconian Switzerland is suitable for any weather. Depending on how much time you bring with you, the path can be completed in an hour, but a full-day stay in Sanspareil is also possible without any problems. The baroque garden was created in the 18th century by Margravine Wilhemine from Bayreuth and combines natural rock formations with elements of Greek mythology. Among other things, the Felsentheater has been preserved, in which performances take place in the summer as part of the Franconian Theater Summer. Shortly before the rock theater there is a viewing hill on the left, which is recommended to climb, but unfortunately not possible with prams. From the top you can see the rock theatre, which connects directly to the hill, and the surrounding landscape. The path leads around the theatre, keep right at the next junction and walk in the direction of Sybillengrotte / Äolusgrotte. In a left turn, the hike leads back to Sanspareil on the opposite side of the forest. On the way back, the bear's cave, a very impressive rock, is reached. Keep right after this and walk parallel to the road. Approximately the last 50 meters of the hike are on the road before the Morgenländische Bau and the starting point are reached again.
