Nice little ferry that transports people, dogs and bikes.

One person costs €2 for a single journey. That's reasonable - you can't complain about that.

The ferry Hitzacker (Elbe) - Bitter is in operation annually from April 1st to October 15th, as far as the water levels, weather conditions and other circumstances allow.

This ferry takes you from Hitzacker across the Elbe to Bitter and back again. Bicycles can also be transported. The Hitzacker-Bitter ferry currently runs Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The ferry service is also possible outside of the times mentioned by arrangement.

One-way trip per person: € 2.50

Children aged 4 to 12: € 1.50

Bicycles, mopeds, mopeds, motorcycles up to and including 50 cc: € 2.00
