The Römerbrücke is the oldest bridge in Germany and has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. As early as 18 or 17 BC there was a wooden bridge on piles at this point. The pillars of today's stone bridge were built in the years 142-150 AD.

The Römerbrücke is a Roman bridge over the Moselle in the German city of Trier. The bridge is part of the Roman Monuments, Dom and Church of Our Lady Trier World Heritage List. The first wooden Roman bridge on this site dates back to 17 BC; the piles could be examined for their antiquity in 1963. The first stone bridge dates from 45 AD. The pillars of the current stone bridge were built between 144 and 152 AD. BC built. It is the oldest standing bridge in the country and the oldest Roman bridge north of the Alps.
