The manor house was first mentioned in the 15th century and rebuilt in the neoclassical style for its owner, Wilhelm Leberecht Crusius, after 1829. The Crusius family was expropriated in 1945. Between 1945 and 1990, the building was used as an event venue by the Agricultural Production Cooperative (LPG). Today, the manor house and manor are once again privately owned, with the Breitenbuch family mentioned here.

Rüdigsdorf was already known as a manor in 1350 and was mentioned as a manor in 1551. The owners of the manor and town at the time, the von Rüdigsdorf family, sold their property to Joachim von Loß in 1579. From then on, the owners changed frequently, and in the 16th century alone the von Lüttichau (1581), again von Rüdigsdorf (1585), von Helldorf (1592) and von Einsiedel (1595) families are mentioned. They were followed by the von Heynitz, von Pflugk, von Koseritz, von Schindler (1718) and von Rayska (1783) families. In 1810, the Leipzig bookseller Siegfried Leberecht Crusius acquired the manor house and had it rebuilt in the classicist style. Furthermore, there was a merger with the Sahlis manor, which Crusius had inherited in 1795, the garden was laid out in the English style in 1823 and the orangery was built in 1829.

1945: As part of the land reform, the Crusius family was expropriated in 1945 and the manor's land was divided.

After reunification: In 2001, the heirs of the last owners bought the mansion back.

Current use: The manor house has been renovated in recent years.
