From 1867 to 1872 Karl Kaufmann built the neo-Gothic town church Peter and Paul. The church has seven entrances, at the main entrance is the baptistery built in 1933. The pulpit has been moved twice, as you can see from the footsteps on the central pillar of the church. The bells, which had been taken down during the Second World War to melt down, were fortunately recovered after the war on the bell cemetery near Hamburg and brought back.
