    The Alpine Hut Walter Bonatti takes its name from the famous Italian mountaineer. Built in 1988, the refuge offers a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc and its chain of peaks. It is the perfect place for a break during the alpine route. The home cooking and the welcoming atmosphere help to relax anyone who stays there.

      The Bonatti Hut (2025 m) is located in the alpine meadows on the east side of the Val Ferret, on a veritable balcony overlooking the peaks, glaciers and chasms of the Grandes Jorasses (4045 m): great cinema!
      The lodge is cozy, well run and organized, great food and atmosphere, a very popular (and booked out) TMB base. rifugiobonatti.it

        This is a perfect spot for a short break on the TMB. Family cooking, very warm atmosphere. There is a superb view of Mont-Blanc and its chain of peaks.

            Very modern refuge with a service worthy of a "hotel", although it remains mountainous. Its location is magnificent, just opposite the Grandes Jorasses and Mont Blanc.

                The Walter Bonatti hut is named after the famous Italian mountaineer. The hut is new, it was built in 1988, in an ideal place for a break during the route along the Tour du Mont Blanc trekking (TMB).
                It is not an alpine hut in the traditional sense, but it offers excellent service. Too bad they did not choose to renovate the old hut, a couple of hundred meters higher up, instead of building a new one.

                    Getting there is not difficult and the view of the Bianco and the Jorasses is truly magnificent!
