    The Am Grubenkopf nature reserve is located in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate.
    The 3.0 hectare area was placed under nature protection in 1985!

    The protection purpose is the preservation of the area as a habitat for rare wild animal species that are threatened in their existence, as well as for scientific reasons.

      ... unfortunately part of the NSG has been a construction site since August 2020 🚧 and cannot be entered!
      A non-native aquarium plant that endangers biodiversity must be removed!
      Currently (May 2021) the water in this part is drained / pumped out!
      Will the long duration of the construction site help the NSG in the end and no longer break it?

          Lorenz Berger, Forester for Future, is happy about the lush leafy roofs, filled lakes, dragonflies and frogs on the Grubenkopf. The city forest is currently recovering excellently.
