The rest bench connects St. Corona am Schöpfl with Schöpflgitter. The pass is part of the Hochzug from Schöpfl (at 893 meters the highest mountain in the Vienna Woods) and Hirschenstein (785 m) and separates the communities of Altenmarkt from Klausenleopoldsdorf. The Rastbank is one of the southernmost passes in the Vienna Woods and a popular starting point for a hike on the Schöpfl. The pass can be easily connected with the Forsthof, the Hengstlsattel and the Written Beech.
North-east driveway from Schöpflgitter: In Schöpflgitter we follow the L 127 towards St. Corona am Schöpfl. The road climbs steadily through the forest without any significant difficulties. After 4.2 kilometers you drive through two unspectacular hairpin bends. There the gradient increases, but remains in a pleasant drivable area. You can't count on a view, but the southern end of the light Vienna Woods also has its charms.
South driveway from St. Corona: In St. Corona we keep in the direction of Kaltenleutgabe. Shortly before the first and only hairpin bend, the road disappears into the forest. Shortly afterwards, the ascent is done again.
