The designers of the Georgengarten created an English-style park at the end of the 18th century, inspired by trips to England and Italy. The principle of the gradual transition from the artfully laid out landscape garden to the natural landscape is impressively understandable in the system. In addition to the artificial ruins of the "Wallwitzburg" and the Elbe pavilion, the mausoleum, which was built at the end of the 19th century, and Georgium Castle are among the defining buildings of the complex. Numerous small architectural elements, seats and sculptures form important points of orientation and enliven the garden areas. The complex belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz.
