In 2006 the Cologne artist Gunter Demnig laid three stumbling blocks in front of the Rotenburger Werke gate for the second time (see No. 24). They commemorate three Jewish residents of the Rotenburg institutions at that time, who were deported from Rotenburg to the Brandenburg (Havel) killing center on September 21, 1940 during the Nazi regime and murdered there. The names of the three residents are representative of 547 disabled people from the facility who were evidently deported. (Rotenburg culture trail)
