A beautiful nature and animal adventure park on the edge of the Freiburg Rieselfelder nature reserve. Animal enclosures were gradually built around a centuries-old farm. A large park has now been created. The animals have a little more freedom here than you would normally expect from other zoos. I really like that. There are also a few playgrounds and good restaurants here. Admission is free. Only parking by car costs money, but this also supports the development of the enclosures and paths. A visit here can be easily combined with a tour of the nature reserve. The circular route can easily be completed in an hour. There are plenty of bicycle parking spaces and it is also easy to get here by bus. From Lehen.

A really great zoo. Definitely worth a visit. Maybe better in the pre and post season .. because probably otherwise overcrowded.
