This completely redesigned leisure mile was opened to the public in March 2021.
The existing sports and leisure facilities were redesigned and significantly expanded as part of extensive upgrading measures in 2020.
The new climbing wall is particularly interesting. Curling in summer and curling in winter is possible on 2 lanes. You can now even play boules on two new lanes.
Table tennis is possible at four stone tables and there are numerous new attractions.
The upgrading measures in Corona year 2020 were carried out because a very large new housing estate with 2500 apartments was built directly on Südpark.

It also looks like the facility will be expanded further. A skill course is still fenced off, as is a cable car. There is also a construction site, the future of which we have not yet been able to identify. Even so, there is already a lot to offer and the spatial distribution of the various elements means that the site can accommodate a large crowd. The only disturbing thing is the close proximity to the A95 motorway, but that's a problem for the whole park.
