Castle Church of St. Romanus

After the floods of the Bietschbach in 1414 and 1494, the village church was so badly damaged that the residents decided in 1505, under the decisive influence of the then bishop and later Cardinal Matthäus Schiner, to rebuild the church on the castle hill to protect it from future floods may be protected.
