The 73-meter-high observation tower on the Gräbersberg has a viewing platform at a height of 33 meters. From there you have a magnificent view of the Westerwald landscape.

To get to the viewing platform you have to climb 197 steps because there is no elevator. The viewing platform is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Gräbersberg is really a worthwhile destination. The WW path here is deserted and full of beautiful natural experiences and the view from the mountain stretches out into the distance and conveys peace and quiet.
The Alpenrod hut is a beer garden, biker meeting place, many mountain bikers. The food on offer mainly consists of various sausage dishes. The only vegetarian food: cheese bread.
If you like it closer to nature, take your picnic with you under the oak tree on the east side, a little south of the beer garden - just follow the path around the playground: first right, then left - all in all less than 100m, but a completely different world.

The Alpenrod Tower offers a magnificent view. A spiral staircase leads to the visitor platform at a height of 33 meters. In good weather, the view extends as far as Cologne and the Hohe Acht mountain range. The climb is free, and the hut at the base of the tower is a great place to take a break.

Freely accessible viewing platform with fantastic 360° panoramic views. Please do not litter or litter the stairs. The interior lighting in the stairs doesn't always turn on automatically, so keep a cell phone or suitable light handy. It's often windy on the platform, so a windbreaker is a good idea. It's nice that the viewing points are well signposted, but depending on the weather, binoculars or a telephoto lens are helpful for spotting distant viewpoints up to 65 km away! Magnificent views. Next door is a cozy mountain hut with a beer garden. All in all, this makes for a top spot.
