There is another rock formation below the Mendelssohn-Bartholdy rock, from which you have a beautiful view of Eppstein and its castle. From Eppstein these rocks can still be reached easily via a narrow path uphill along the slope. (Apart from the last passage, where a MTB route has been built for some time, which partially destroyed this path. Whether this route was created legally?) On the other hand, access is more cumbersome because it is no longer official Forest path begins, which then only becomes a path through vegetation. Later you have to go over and under fallen tree trunks. Shouldn't be a problem at all for active people. In any case, you will not necessarily find many people on these rocks.

Nice view. The path here is a bit steep but not particularly difficult. The upper section is difficult to pass in summer (thorns and nettles on the way).

The steep ascent is more than rewarded! Super nice view of Eppstein. We loved it! Unfortunately, there are currently many fallen trees over the trail towards the Imperial Temple.

There are numerous vantage points around Eppstein, such as the Emperor's Temple and the Singers' Temple, such as the "Men's Choir Temple" or the "Concordia Temple" or the "Pioneer Temple"
